WHO WE ARE:

Sourdough Wilderness Ranch is a member only non-profit corporation operating under a State charter. We are located along Highway 39 in the lower Monte Cristo area of Weber County. Our members have the privilege of camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, horseback riding, and four wheeling on over 5000 acres of private mountain property.

Since we are a designated wilderness area we don't have cabins but instead our members bring up their trailers in the spring to their lot sites and leave them throught the entire camping/hunting seasons. With a snow canopy, trailers can be left on the ranch the entire year!

The Ranch sits at about 7000-8000 foot elevation and features three lakes, two fresh water springs, an archery range, picnic areas, playground, ATV track, sand beaches (including a separate dog beach), and non motor boating.

Wildlife is abundant with moose, deer, elk, and fox, roaming freely through the ranch along with smaller creatures such as chipmunks, wild turkeys, grouse, and more. Photography is a must as you enjoy spotting wildlife in their natural habitat along with spectacular sunsets over the lake and fields of wildflowers around every corner. Quaking aspen, native maple, and pine trees provide a bounty of shade and a burst of color in the fall.

Our members enjoy the yearly celebration of Sourdough Days where they can feast on deliciously prepared food including a full breakfast, a hot dog lunch, and a huge BBQ dinner that go along with games for kids, bingo, drawings for great items, horseshoes tournament, kids fishing contest, a craft sale, a dance, and so much more. It truly has become the event of the year for the entire family.

Our members have made Sourdough their home away from home and many enjoy everything the ranch has to offer throughout the entire year. It is our paradise in the wilderness!
